After asking Jennifer how she came up with these wonderful designs, she said, “I’ve always been involved in art and designing on some level. I started creating my “doodly collection” about 3 years ago as a way to simply share funny little thoughts in my head. I had no idea if anyone else would like my creations, but they make me smile so I figured - why not! My inspiration comes from my family and the world around me. There is always something silly or funny or just down right out of place that can be translated into a cartoon expression…So that’s what I do. My favorite part in it all is, I wake up every day with no preset plan, and if I decide “hey, I’d really like a smiley ice cream”, then that’s what I do. It’s the best job on the planet!”

Jennifer doesn’t have a favorite design but says, “my favorite is the super big grin I tend to include on a lot of the characters. I love the wiggly lines and the quirky expressions. However, the Penguin is a favorite among my “fans”. I really enjoy making all the little outfits and thinking up. “If I were a penguin, what would I do?”.

This recall is so very frightening, especially when you are a parent. It makes you stop and look at everything you give your children. I know when I read this, I went to the fridge and lucky I didn’t have any of the meats that were on the recall, but I found myself throwing out lunch meat just the same.
